Time Out New York Magazine features Canvas Press
Thursday, May 14th, 2009Time Out New York http://newyork.timeout.com/ writer Rachel LeWinter featured Canvas Press in her Mom’s the word Mother’s Day write-up. The article’s descriptor read Show your madre you love her (without breaking the bank) by giving her one of these fun gifts- all $50 or less. Our canvases were pictured in a dining room setting alongside numerous other nifty gifts such as Brookstone’s digital-photo key chain, Beth Mueller’s ceramic milk-bottle vases, and Fred Flare’s flowers in a can.

At six feet tall, blues singer and pianist Marcia Ball is hard to miss. Her height is only one of the things that make this Austin icon stand out. For 2009, her 60th birthday and fourth Grammy nomination are reasons to celebrate. Yet, she says there’s an even bigger celebration this year and it has her on fire and looking forward.
Story by Julie Tereshchuk
